It’s been awhile since I offered a freebie, so today I’ve created a free reading log. This reading log can be used for homeschool, teaching, or summer reading encouragement. I’m offering 2 versions: one that has graphics and one that doesn’t. I know not everyone wants to use up their ink, so pick one that best suits you!

Updates to Blog
I also wanted to share some updates. This blog was started back in January and I should have thought through what I wanted from this blog before I created it. But, over time, I realized that I was getting frustrated with it. Because I was trying really hard to do things that I wasn’t good at, it became difficult to post here. Simply, I’m a graphic designer wanna be, but I’m not a graphic designer–at least not the illustrating/vector creating kind. I am a graphic designer in the sense that I’m good at creating usable documents. People ask me a lot to make them things like printables and files they can edit. And that’s what I’m good at.
I’ve been a homeschooling mom for the last 12 years as well. So me trying to branch out and do new things is fun, but it’s not what I’m good at. I really am good at what I know–teaching and creating digitally. So with that said, this blog is taking a bit of a turn. Instead of offering graphic design tips and creating digital art, I decided to focus more on creating documents people can actually use and that are helpful. I have a list in my head of what I want to do and I’m excited to be able to offer these to you, but it will take a few weeks to get that up and going. And I need to change some stuff on this blog too. So I apologize to all of you who may not find that interesting and are sick of me changing gears, but I hope some of you will find it helpful.
On the Horizon
Some things I plan to offer are:
- School Planning Sheets
- School worksheets
- Transcript Forms
- Report Forms
- Reading Logs (like the one above)
- Record Keeping Sheets
- Chore lists
- Flash cards and helps
- Special Needs Resources
I also will offer from time to time some digital art. I actually get a lot of hits from the freebie I offered awhile back for the bathroom sign. So I’ll offer more stuff like that as well. This is just the tip of what I’d like to offer. I’ll be brainstorming more ideas. If you have any, let me know. I’ll be offering free stuff, of course, but also offering other stuff in my shop and on Etsy.
